Despite all the warnings that impaired drivers will be caught, the Ontario Provincial Police collared two more allegedly impaired drivers over the weekend in Essex County.
Just before 8 p.m. on Friday, the OPP stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on County Road 20 near McCain Sideroad in Kingsville.
The infraction was not moving into another lane for emergency vehicles on the shoulder of the road.
However, a 32-year-old Windsor man was also charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle while impaired.
The second suspect was arrested on County Road 20 near Iler Road in Essex early Sunday morning.
A 21-year-old Leamington man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
Both drivers were handed a 90-day administrative driver's license suspension while their vehicles were impounded for a week.
The OPP reminds the driving public to call them if they suspect someone behind the wheel while impaired by alcohol or drugs. The number to call for an urgent complaint is 911, and 1-888-310-1122 if the concern is not urgent. Callers can also reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
