Windsor police have arrested an assisted-living employee for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from a client.
On Monday, officers responded to a home for a theft complaint.
Investigators learned that the homeowner had been in hospital for some time. Security footage obtained by police showed the homeowner's assisted-living worker entering the home during that time without the patient's knowledge or permission.
The worker allegedly left with cash and assorted valuables totalling $35,000. The surveillance system's hard drive was also taken.
Later on Monday, a 51-year-old man was arrested in west Windsor.
He is charged with two counts of break-and-enter to commit an indictable offence.
The charges have not been proven in court.
