Man arrested after stabbing in Windsor

A 48-year-old man is facing charges after a stabbing.

Just before 10 p.m. on September 17, Windsor police officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a restaurant in the Wyandotte Street East and Ouellette Avenue area.

Police allege that the suspect approached the victim while shouting racial slurs. The suspect then swung a knife at the victim, striking him in the head before fleeing the scene.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Barry Glen Greene has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
