More than a thousand St. Clair College graduates will receive their diplomas and degrees in a convocation ceremony on Tuesday.
"The credentials graduates receive represent much more than the successful completion of courses and assignments," said St. Clair College President Michael Silvaggi. "It reflects their willingness to challenge themselves, to learn new skills, and to invest in their futures."
The convocation ceremony starts at 12:30 p.m. at the WFCU Centre. This time, artist and cofounder of The Haunted Zoo, Jeff Denomme, will give the address.
This ceremony is for students graduating from the School of Community Studies, School of Engineering Technologies, School of Health Sciences, School of Nursing, School of Skilled Trades and Apprenticeships, Zekelman School of Business, and the Zekelman School of Information Technology.
Another convocation ceremony is planned for students in Chatham on October 1 at the Chatham Capitol Theatre. That ceremony starts at 1 p.m. and is for all programs at the Chatham Campus.
"Throughout their time at St. Clair College, they developed expertise in their chosen field, but equally important, they developed qualities that employers, communities, and society value deeply: adaptability, professionalism, critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience," added Silvaggi. "These qualities will continue to serve them long after the ceremony has concluded."
