Driver blows more than twice the legal limit after crash
A Blenheim man is facing an impaired driving charge after police were called to an afternoon crash in Blenheim.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the scene just after 2 p.m. Thursday and arrested a driver who was believed to be impaired by alcohol.
Officers said they took the man back to police headquarters for some breath tests, which came back with results showing his blood alcohol concentration was more than double the legal limit.
A 65-year-old Blenheim man was charged with impaired driving and later released from custody once he sobered up.
He is scheduled to answer to the charge at a future court date.

'Poor driving behaviour' tips off police to impaired, suspended driver
A 50-year-old Chatham resident is facing a handful of charges after allegedly blowing through a stop sign and then blowing over the legal limit.
OPP said an officer stopped the vehicle just after 1 a.m. Friday on Grand Avenue East near Woodland Avenue after seeing the driver ignore a stop sign.
Police said while the officer was speaking with the driver, they noticed signs of intoxication and also learned that the driver's license was suspended.
Officers said the driver was arrested and taken to the police detachment but refused to provide a breath sample.
The 50-year-old Chatham resident was charged with two counts of driving while suspended along with one count each of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs, failing to comply with a demand for a breath sample, disobeying a stop sign, and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero.
The driver's license was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
The accused is set to appear in court next month to answer to the charge.

Police investigating Chatham break-in
Chatham-Kent police are investigating a break-in at an address on Winterline Road in Chatham.
Police said they got that call shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday, adding that their investigation is ongoing.

Wanted man arrested in Chatham
The law has caught up with a 23-year-old Chatham man who was wanted by police.
CK police said they arrested him at around 4 p.m. Thursday after finding him on Taylor Avenue in Chatham.
Officers said he was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
