Chatham-Kent has unveiled a new name for a snowplow to honour local Country Music legend Michelle Wright.
The snowplow now bears the name "Snow Wright", a twist on the Disney character Snow White.
Wright said she is honoured, but admits she has never had a snowplow named after her.
"I've never been named after a snowplow and that's just fantastic, it's awesome! I'm delighted and I'm delighted to be back home," said Wright.
Wright said Chatham-Kent is part of her DNA and she appreciates the heartfelt recognition.
"They just gave us a call. Every now and then the community reaches out and creates an opportunity to make me feel really special," she said.
The name was picked by municipal staff. The other choice was "Wright On Time."
Wright is lobbying to have the plow run down Merlin were she grew up.
A new piece of art done by local artist Lucy Thrift was also unveiled in Wright's honour. Thrift said it took her 100 hours to draw the stunning pencil portrait of Wright.

Thrift is the same artist who crafted portraits of local baseball legends Fergie Jenkins and Bill Atkinson.
The name and portrait were revealed at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre on Friday afternoon.
“Michelle has been an incredible ambassador for Chatham-Kent, and her success in country music has brought our community into the spotlight worldwide,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff. “We’re proud to celebrate Michelle’s legacy and her connection to Chatham-Kent. I would also like to thank Lucy Thrift for yet another amazing illustration. Her talent and passion for CK are truly inspiring.”
