Local recipients of Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie proceeds announced

Pet and Wildlife Rescue (PAWR) and the Tilbury Information and H.E.L.P. Centre will benefit from this year's Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign.

All of the proceeds from each Smile Cookie sold between November 18 and November 24 will go to charitable organizations and community groups.

PAWR will get the returns from cookies sold in Chatham, Wallaceburg, and Dresden.

"We're grateful to be a part of the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign," PAWR's director Myriam Armstrong said. Adding that every bit of support helps to care for animals in Chatham-Kent.

The Tilbury Information and H.E.L.P. Centre, which is part of the United Way, will receive the proceeds from Smile Cookies sold in Tilbury.

The H.E.L.P. Centre provides emergency food assistance, support with social housing applications, and information and referrals for other resources. In addition, it helps people find jobs by providing computer access and assisting with resumes.

"We are thrilled to partner with Tim Hortons for the Smile Cookie campaign," said Lorraine Goddard, the CEO of United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent. "This initiative not only brings our community together over delicious treats but also helps us continue our vital work supporting those in need. Every cookie sold will help us continue to provide important services to individuals and families in the Tilbury community."

In 2023, the inaugural Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised $9.8 million for charities across the country.
