UPDATE: Hydro outages across London

London Hydro dealt with several pockets of outages across the city Sunday morning.

The area of Highland was one of the most affected, leaving 1,100 customers without power. London Hydro was able to restore power around 9 a.m.

Several smaller outages with less than 100 customers impacted also popped up across the city. In the area of Glanworth, there were over a dozen spots without power, each one impacting less than 50 customers. London Hydro was able to restore power around noon.

Meanwhile, Hydro One reported an outage affecting nearly 3,000 customers stretching from Lynhurst to Thamesford that was restored around 11 a.m. after several hours.

Overnight, thousands more dealt with power outages, including over 2,000 customers in the White Oaks Area. However, power was restored to the area around 6 a.m.

According to Hydro One's website, freezing rain and heavy wet snow in Southern Ontario on Saturday night was to blame for the outages.
