The London Police Service was kept busy on Tuesday while they responded to three unrelated break-ins in approximately five hours.
As a result, four people were arrested and charged.
Police received the first call at approximately 7 a.m. about a possible break and enter at a home in the 1500-block of Drew Street. The occupants told police they believed they heard footsteps inside the home.
Officers say the suspects fled the home on foot, and with the assistance of the LPS Canine Unit, a 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were arrested nearby.
Approximately two hours later at around 9:15 a.m., a restaurant owner contacted the police after he saw a man inside a building at 1449 Dundas Street. A 34-year-old man was arrested after police arrived.
Later on, police received a 911 call for a possible break-in at a building in the 400-block of Oxford Street East at 12:15 p.m. The property manager told police he saw the suspect inside of the building. Officers attended and arrested a 59-year-old man.
The 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were charged with break and enter and theft in relation to the first incident. The 30-year-old faces an additional charge of failing to comply with a release order. The 34-year-old man and 59-year-old man were both charged with break and enter with intent in relation to the second and third incidents.
The 59-year-old man appeared in a London courtroom on Wednesday, while the other three people have been released from custody with court dates in March 2021.
