Pinafore Park transforms for three-day stationary parade

Those hoping to find a festive activity this weekend can head over to St. Thomas to enjoy a reverse Santa Claus parade.

From December 3 to 5, Pinafore Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland for a second year in a row inviting visitors to drive through the park and enjoy over 50 stationary displays.

With support from the St. Thomas Optimist Club and the offices of Elgin-Middlesex-London MPP Jeff Yurek and MP Karen Vecchio, the event will run each night between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

"I am thrilled to be part of this wonderful community event for the second year," said Yurek. "We have so much to celebrate and appreciate this Christmas season and I look forward to seeing people safely come together once again."

Those without a vehicle will still have a chance to enjoy the displays with a complimentary shuttle service.

Pickup and drop-off locations:

Downtown: Van Pelts Print Plus, 800 Talbot Street

East End: Elgin Centre, 417 Wellington Street

South End: St Joseph's High School, 10 Bill Martyn Parkway
