A community hub is back in operation in Williamsford after rising flood waters caused a state of emergency in late March.
The building housing the post office and Williamsford Pie Company has now re-opened, following some major repairs.
Owner Laura Snider says after a month long closure, it's great to see everyone again and find out how recovery is going.
"Now everyone is seeing each other, people they maybe haven't seen for a month, because this is the place where people get their mail, and stop and talk to their neighbours. And everyone's coming in saying how are you doing and how is your house coming along? So we're getting updates," she says.
She says a number of residents are still recovering after the unprecedented flooding that caused a state of emergency in late March. She says at least one resident has had to stay in a trailer because their home was so badly damaged. Others are continuing repairs.
Snider says her basement was completely flooded, requiring a new furnace, water heater, water pump and electrical panel.
Snider was insured, and adds she will be applying for some funding available through the state of emergency program.
She says she is still totaling up the losses.
Snider says the community supported each other, and many people were glad to help where they could.
