One person is dead and four others were injured in a serious head-on crash between Miller Lake and Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday around 1:19pm, a 2016 Jeep Patriot and a 2002 blue Subaru Impreza collided head-on Hwy. 6 between Johnsons Harbour Rd. and Emmet Lake Rd. A 2016 Jeep Wrangler was also involved in the crash.
The driver of the Subaru, 32-year-old Sean Smith from North York, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver, a passenger and a 3-year-old child from the Jeep Patriot were airlifted to hospital for serious non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger from the Subaru was also air-lifted to hospital for serious non-life-threatening injuries. All four people are listed in stable condition.
A driver, passenger and two children, aged 4-years-old and 4-months-old, from the Jeep Wrangler were cleared medically at the scene.
The highway was closed for around nine hours while police conducted an investigation.
No charges have been laid at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
