Huron County parents will have some new tools to turn to thanks to a recent survey.
The Huron County Health Unit surveyed over 600 parents and caregivers of children up to 17 years old.
Respondents said they wanted more information on how to talk with their kids, handle certain behaviors, and ensure the safe use of technology.
The Health Unit is re-launching its HIP-or helpful information for parents--newsletters in an electronic format.
It will offer advice in two segments, Kindergarten to Grade 6 and Grade 7 to 12.

They wanted help to cope, and to ensure appropriate use of technology.
Interested parents and caregivers can sign up at www.huronhealthunit.ca. For the month of February, new subscribers could also win one of four $25 grocery cards.
“The most common parenting issues identified were dealing with difficult behaviors, discipline, and time management,” says Public Health Nurse Amy Leduc. “Parents were most interested in topics such as the safe and appropriate use of technology, coping with behaviours, and communicating with their child.”
