Wellington County OPP officers have made an arrest in connection with an armed robbery in Minto that occurred almost a year ago.
The gas station on Highway 9 between Clifford and Harriston was held up by a lone suspect with a shotgun. The suspect arrived and fled on a motorcycle, which was last seen heading northbound on Highway 9 towards the Village of Clifford.
As a result of the investigation, Wellington County OPP Major Crime unit has charged Justin James Patrick Horrigan, 25, from Fordwich, with robbery with a firearm and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence. He also faces charges of breaching probation and with failing to comply with a recognizance. He was held for bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
