No major injuries in Collingwood plane crash

One person walked away with minor injuries after a plane that was forced to do an emergency landing crashed in Collingwood during the evening hours of April 23.

The Collingwood Fire Department, County of Simcoe Paramedics and members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP responded to a farm field on Raglan Street near Poplar Sideroad for an aircraft that was forced to attempt an emergency landing.

The pilot was the lone occupant of the aircraft and was taken to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital by paramedics for a medical assessment with what is believed to be minor injuries.

Transport Canada was notified of the incident.
