Hanover police has announced that its police chief has extended his contract for five years.
During a recent Police board meeting it was decided that Chris Knoll will now remain in the position through 2028.
He was originally appointed as Hanover's Chief of Police in 2015 after the retirement of Chief Tracy David.
According to a news release by the police service, Knoll has helped with many accomplishments with the service such as administrative and operational efficiencies, financial cost control measures and the implementation of several programs.
“The Board is extremely pleased with Chief KNOLL’s leadership of the service, his commitment to community policing and his dedication to the safety and well-being of our community members”, said Board Chair Selwyn Hicks.
