Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame Inductions In St. Marys This Weekend

Some of the biggest names in Canada's Baseball history will be enshrined in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Marys this weekend.

Carlos Delgado, Matt Stairs, Corey Koskie, Felipe Alou and Bob Elliott make up the marquee list of 2015 inductees.

Surrounding the induction ceremony is a number of events and activities in town and surrounding areas. On Thursday St . Marys hosted the home run derby and celebrity slo-pitch game. The inductees were on hand for the game along with already inducted Fergie Jenkins, former major league-rs and members of Canadian and American baseball media.

On Friday morning London hosted a breakfast with a presentation of the city's baseball history and a Q&A session with the inductees. St. Marys Golf and Country Club is hosting the celebrity golf tournament and Banquet through the rest of the day with a number of well known athletes taking part.

Saturday's schedule starts with a street festival in downtown St.Marys with live music, autograph sessions and Toronto Blue Jays signage placed all over town. The Induction ceremony for  Delgado, Alou, Stairs, Koskie and Elliott follows in the afternoon. The ceremony will be emceed by TV broadcaster Rod Black. Michael Burgess will sing the national anthem.

The induction ceremony starts at 1 p.m Saturday at the Hall of Fame grounds on Church Street in St.Marys. It is free to attend for the public.
