The snowstorm may be over, but the cold temperatures are here to stay -- at least for now.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued a cold weather alert for this region.
Environment Canada predicts temperatures will dip to -17 C (1 F) overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Chilling temps will remain at -15 C (5 F) Thursday night into Friday morning.
The health unit is warning the public to keep an eye out for symptoms of hypothermia and frostbite during cold weather.
