WFCU Gives Back

Twenty organizations across Windsor-Essex got a financial boost on Friday.

The Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) donated a total of $20,000 to help the groups deliver local programs and projects focusing on health and wellness, quality of life, culture, and community and support information.

“We are here today to recognize the efforts of organizations in our community that help make our community a better place,” said Eddie Francis, WFCU president & chief executive officer. “Giving back to our community is not just a philosophy at WFCU but an integral part of who we are.”

WFCU says it has invested over $10-million in the community over the last 15 years and donated $428,000 to community agencies.

"Part of WFCU’s mission is to make the communities we serve better places to live and work,” said Martin Gillis, chair of the WFCU Board of Directors, adding that he believes the Community Donations Fund helps to accomplish this goal.
