UPDATE: Power fully restored in downtown and west Windsor

Enwin Utilities said a power outage impacting thousands of customers in the City of Windsor is over.

The utility said the outages were "related to an issue at the J.C. Keith Transformer Station, where power from Hydro One is transformed to levels compatible with the Enwin distribution system."

Crews re-routed power to restore as many areas as possible.

About 5,000 customers downtown and in West Windsor were without power.
