Ontario Provincial Police have seized numerous illicit drugs and weapons following a raid in Leamington.
On Thursday, the OPP Essex County Community Street Crime Unit, Emergency Response Unit, and Canine Unit executed search warrants on a property located at Wigle Street and Robinson Street. Officers took five people into custody and seized an unspecified quantity of suspected fentanyl, heroin, and illicit cannabis.
Steve English, 57, of Leamington, is charged with possession of heroin for trafficking, and possession of illicit cannabis.
Sherry Smith, 49, of Leamington, is charged with possession of heroin for trafficking, and failure to comply with a release order.
Forty-four-year-old Brett Harris of Leamington is charged with possession of heroin, possession of another Schedule I substance, five counts of possession of a firearm and-or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, and two counts of failure to comply with a prohibition order.
Tiffany Reimer, 34, of Windsor, is charged with one count of heroin possession.
The fifth suspect has not been identified.
These charges have not been proven in court, and the suspects will appear in a Windsor court at a later date to respond to them.
