Windsor woman has double the luck with Daily Keno

A Windsor chef hit the jackpot not once, but twice, playing the OLG's Daily Keno 8 Picks game.

Rosemarie Sablone, a wife and mother of one, played two Daily Keno games at $2 apiece. Both matched eight numbers for $50,000 each, for a total of $100,000.

"I'm a regular lottery player. I've been playing for about 30 years. I always play my own numbers, which are all birthdays," said Sablone as she picked up her cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

Sablone asked her husband to check the OLG app to see if any numbers matched for the October 7 evening draw.

"When he scanned them, he almost couldn't get the words out. He said, 'You won,'" said Sablone. "At first, I thought it was a small win, then he said, 'No, you won $50,000 on both tickets!' We were both so excited we started dancing around the living room," said Sablone.

Sablone said she will use the winnings to help her son, pay off some bills, and travel.

She picked up her winning tickets at P-Jay's Video and Variety on Walker Road in Windsor.

Daily Keno players pick their strategy from a 2-Pick to a 10-Pick and choose a bet between $1 and $10. Numbers are drawn twice a day.
