The 31st annual Brentwood dream home lottery wrapped up on Saturday with the winners of the grand prize draw being announced.
This year's lottery was the biggest to date, according to Brentwood Recovery Home. Prizes included over $1.3 million of cash and prizes including a brand new home and a variety of vehicles.
Brentwood Recovery Home reports that this year brought in the highest gross sales in the lottery's history. Proceeds from this event help fund the organization's programs and services, which support people suffering from addiction and mental health challenges.
The grand prize winners were announced on Saturday.
D. Peifer of Windsor was the winner of the grand prize - a dream home developed by Lakepoint Homes. The abode is located in Belle River and valued at $975,000. Peifer will also have the option to take a cash prize of $780,000 instead.
C. Turner of Windsor won the 50/50 draw and took home $139,357.50.
A Mitchell resident named D. Sinko won a 2023 Jayco Jay flight, a travel trailer that sleeps up to 14 people.
Several other vehicles were given away. P. Beckett of Windsor won a 2023 Ford F150 Supercrew. Sarnia's S. Pyke is the new owner of a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer.
D. Hunt from Windsor also left with a sizeable cash prize of $25,000.
More prize winners were also announced through the Brentwood Lottery website on Saturday evening.
