Windsor police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with a brawl last month near downtown.
Officers were called in the early morning of March 26 to a home on Aylmer Avenue near Tuscarora Street East. When they arrived, they found three men with stab wounds. Each of them was treated in hospital for their injuries.
The victims did not cooperate with police, but the Major Crimes Unit uncovered information suggesting that the stabbings were from a brawl between two of the men found at the scene. The third victim was injured trying to stop the fight.
On Tuesday night, police arrested the suspect on Glengarry Avenue near Assumption Street. He has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and using a weapon dangerously.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call Windsor police's Major Crimes Unit at (519) 255-6700, ext. 4830, or Crime Stoppers.
