Law students welcomed back to newly renovated space

University of Windsor law students were welcomed back to campus with a newly renovated building.

"I didn't recognize the building, impressed not only by how impressive the building is but also how welcoming it was," said Reem Bahdi, Dean of Windsor Law, University of Windsor.

The transformation of the Ron W. Ianni Building includes more classroom space, improved accessibility, and a newly renovated moot court.

"It creates spaces for them to collaborate and spaces for them to build in their social network an also to sit and debate and think and really examine some of the vexing issues that they are not only learning about in class but seeing out in the world," said Dean Bahdi.

The Diamond Schmitt Architectural Firm spearheaded the $6-million project.

The new moot court is named after Don Rodzik because of a $3-million donation from the Don Rodzik Foundation toward the renovations.

The University of Windsor is inviting community members and alumni to the grand reopening of the facilities on October 27 and 28.
