Mayor Wants Action to Help Refugees

Momentum is building for Canadian cities, including Sarnia, to take a lead role in organizing the sponsorship and settlement of Syrian refugees. Mayors in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton are talking about joining forces with Lifeline Syria, a grassroots initiative for churches, organizations and individuals willing to privately sponsor a refugee. Mayor Mike Bradley is asking the Sarnia Lambton Economic Partnership to take the lead role.
