A couple of area rock bands will hit the stage at Sarnia's Imperial Theatre this weekend in an effort to raise money for Huron House Boys' Home.
The Bad Men Association (BMA), a band of four who grew up in the Brights Grove area, has teamed up with London's Texas King, and Toronto's Loviet for a fundraiser on Sunday.
BMA Drummer Kraig Durco said it will be great for them to play in front of a large crowd after forming their band in early 2020. Durco said the opportunity to gain exposure and connect with other bands also posed as a good way to help out a local organization ahead of Christmas.
"We're from the local area and we just think it's a good cause," said Durco. "We know a lot of people [who] have been a part of the boy's home and we just think it's a good support system for people who might not have the opportunities that we had as kids growing up."
A portion of the net proceeds from the show will be donated to Huron House Boys' Home. Durco said any other donations brought to the show, such as toys or non-perishable food items, will also go to the boy's home.
Tickets for the all-ages show are $35. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. on December 19.
