Sarnia-Lambton's young leaders are being invited to connect with other young professionals on September 13.
The Chamber of Commerce is relaunching the Young Professionals Network.
Spokesperson Samantha Saucier said the gatherings will be a mixture of casual networking and professional development opportunities.
"Young Professionals has been a really big part of the Sarnia-Lambton community in various forms over the years and it's a brand that's pretty well known across the chamber network and throughout Canada, so we're really excited to bring it back and relaunch it," said Saucier.
She said the gatherings, like many other events, were cancelled over the past few years.
"With COVID it was really hard to host events. So, we're just really looking forward to having that start up again. We have so many really great initiatives that are coming out of the chamber moving forward."
Saucier said the informal learning environment will be driven by monthly discussion topics of interest.
"It's open to anyone that's 45 and under. Whether they're a business owner, entrepreneur, working professional, recent graduate, if they're a student... really whatever point in their career that they're at, they're always welcome to join."
Saucier said they've been in the planning stage for the past few months.
"A lot of that has involved reaching out to the previous young professionals who were involved before and getting their insight and their feedback, how it's evolved over the years, and how we can take all of that and what we can offer to young professionals today."
Saucier said the relaunch is being held at Imperial City Brew House at 6:30 p.m.
Non chamber members attending will be asked to pay a small fee of $10, which will go directly toward supporting the Young Professionals Network and future events.
