Residents will indulge in locally-sourced food and beverages on Saturday during Petrolia's fourth annual Harvestfest meal.
Tickets for the event sold out within six weeks of them going on sale back in June. Tickets were sold in groups of six for $300 per table.
"It's a nice local event [that] supports farmer's market vendors and brings the town together in a way that I think we've all been missing over the last couple of years," said Petrolia's Director of Marketing, Arts, and Communications Laurissa Ellsworth.
She said the key element of this event, is everything from food to entertainment is local.
"We're able to keep everything within 100 kilometres," she said.
Although the event sold out quickly, Ellsworth said it's unlikely it will expand to include more guests in the future.
"In order to keep everybody under the canopy, the 260 total ticket sales is about what we can accommodate," she said. "We have considered adding a second day but it is a lot of volunteer time and effort and we're just not sure we have enough of a volunteer base that could take on the two day project."
The event is being held at the farmer's market on Fletcher Street.
