Four people are facing drug trafficking charges after Sarnia Police Service served several search warrants on Monday and recovered over 1.5 kilograms of cocaine.
According to a release, members of the Drug Unit executed searches at a residence on Lyndale Crescent and Carleton Place in Sarnia, and one on Church Street in Point Edward.
The searches of the locations resulted in the seizure of approximately 1,560 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $156,000.
Police also said they recovered $8,885 in cash and drug‑trafficking paraphernalia, including digital scales, packaging materials, cellphones, and a debt list.
As a result of the investigation, four people were arrested and charged.
A 27-year-old man, a 29-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman are facing charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
A 56-year-old man is also charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
All four individuals were held for bail hearings following their arrests and were released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
