Windsor teen is dead as police investigate stabbing

Windsor police say a teen is dead and a suspect faces charges after an incident Sunday night on Tecumseh Road East.

Police were called to a location on Tecumseh at McDougall Street around 6 p.m. after receiving a call about a person with a weapon.

When they arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy suffering life-threatening stab wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Officers located the suspect a short time later on Goyeau Street near Shepherd Avenue East.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, and police say more updates will be provided once information becomes available.
