Hensall Global Logistics Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hensall District Co-operative has acquired a majority interest in Overseas Container Forwarding Inc. (OCF) and a minority interest in Overseas Container Logistics Ltd.
OCF and OCL have strong positions in ocean container freight including temperature-controlled cargo, air freight and surface transportation.
OCF has operations in Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.
OCL has operations in Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg.
“These acquisitions will provide immediate growth and will also be a catalyst in further expanding the Hensall Global business,” said Brad Chandler, CEO of Hensall Co-op. Hensall Global’s ocean container shipping volumes are expected to increase significantly.
Terms for the transaction were not disclosed.
