There is a Christmas Concert and Benefit Saturday night at the Olde Walkerville Theatre that may challenge what you know about both music and art.
Music and Arts Collide features a roster of talented musicians will provide music for the audience, as local painter Paul Murray gives a special performance.
"Without giving the show away, Paul is directly involved with musical sets of pretty much everybody," said Haydon who got his start playing lead guitar for David Bowie during his legendary Station to Station tour in 1976. "I'm not going to say exactly what he does, but he does some pretty amazing things."
It is a presentation of visual art in action, to the music of talents like Sarah Smith, Brian Good of The Good Brothers, and special guest Stacy Haydon.
Haydon is a Windsor-area native who also went on to play with Iggy Pop before settling down to be a music producer.
This Saturday's performance will be the first time Haydon has been on stage in almost three decades; the last time being with Bowie on Saturday Night Live in 1980.
"I run a label up here in California. I produce music every day. I play almost every day, but I've been confined to the walls of this studio for most of these years," he admitted.
The show will raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation, Windsor's Ronald McDonald House, and Film Camp for Kids & Youth.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
