The Windsor Express fell 127-116 to the Halifax Hurricanes in NBL Canada action on Wednesday.
The Hurricanes took a 38-23 lead over the Express in the first quarter, but Windsor was able to gain some ground in the second, which ended with Halifax holding a three-point advantage.
The Express fought back in the third to take a narrow one-point lead, which they extended to 103-95 just over eight minutes left in the final frame. However, the game went back and forth in the final minutes, and the Hurricanes were able to take an 11-point advantage to earn the win.
Horace Wormely led Windsor with 24 points and nine assists, while Tyrrel Tate put up 18 points an had three rebounds. DeAndre Thomas also had 16 points, and Juan Pattillo added another 15.
The Express are at home again on Sunday to take on the Island Storm at 2 p.m.
