A 21-year-old man from out-of-province is facing charges in Windsor.
Windsor police said officers were called Friday afternoon to a location on Niagara Street near Willistead Park to check on the well-being of a female. It was determined by investigators that the female was a victim of human trafficking.
The suspect, who was also at that location, was arrested without incident. The man, identified as Bradley Dominique from Blainville, Quebec, has been charged with sexual assault, assault, assault with a weapon, uttering death threats and human trafficking.
These charges have not been proven in court.
Police were able to connect the victim with community partners to help in her recovery.
The WPS Major Crimes Branch and Morality Unit are continuing the investigation. Anyone with additional information should call Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.
This is the second case of human trafficking investigated by Windsor police in a week. A 43-year-old Windsor man is facing multiple charges after a female from London was brought to Windsor to work in the sex trade.
