Over 100 people have found jobs in the last two years thanks to the Enterprise Program at the Downtown Mission.
There have been 20 groups of graduates who have gone through the program that teaches basic workplace and personal skills as well as on-the-job training within various departments of the Mission.
"Coming into the program I was a bit skeptical, with my courage level, re-entering the workforce but this program has brought me forward with confidence and ability," said recent graduate Steven Parker.
The graduates of the program work with partners like Vista Print, Ground Effects Ltd and Tim Hortons to get more on-the-job training.
"This is a program that really helps build confidence in folks, and to be able to say that 100% of people who graduate get a job [for at least three months] that's pretty awesome," said Executive Director Ron Dunn.
The program helps people overcome barriers to entering the workforce. They spend 40 days in the program at the Downtown Mission.
