Windsor Police urge parents to speak with their children about the seriousness of making threats after charging a teenager with threatening violence at a local high school.
It is the second time in the past week police have investigated threats made against a high school in the city.
Vincent Massey Secondary School officials called police on Saturday after learning about the threats against students, teachers, and staff members.
"We recognize how threats of this nature can be unsettling for students, staff, and their families," said Acting Deputy Police Chief Jason Crowley. "We take incidents like this extremely seriously, and will continue to work closely with school boards to identify any individuals responsible and charge them accordingly."
A 15-year-old student who attends the school was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with uttering threats.
Holy Names Catholic High School was evacuated on Friday after a bomb threat. Police officers searched the building and determined the threat was false.
On Monday, police increased their presence around Vincent Massey Secondary School.
