Suspect faces numerous weapon and drug charges

Windsor police have arrested one person and seized $6,750 of suspected cocaine.

Members of the Drugs and Guns Enforcement (DIGS) Unit executed a search warrant Thursday on a home on Church Street near Tecumseh Road West.

During the search, police uncovered a loaded Sig Sauer P220, a .45 calibre handgun, 15 additional rounds of .45 calibre ammunition, a can of bear spray, 67.5 grams of cocaine, and $3,150 in cash.

A 31-year-old was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of a restricted firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, and possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.

The charges have not been proven in court.
