According to TSN, lawyers representing Carter Hart, Cal Foote, Dillon Dube, and Michael McLeod have confirmed their clients are facing charges of sexual assault.
The charges stem from an incident in 2018, when a woman, identified in court documents as E.M., reported she was sexually assaulted by a group of players from the Canadian World Junior team, after a gala event in London.
None of the allegations against the players have been proven in court.
On Tuesday, legal representatives for each of the four players issued statements to TSN's Rick Westhead, saying their clients had been charged and they would plead not guilty.
The four players are expected to surrender before the London Police Service holds a news conference on Monday.
"We will provide all updates to the media on this investigation at a press conference scheduled for February 5, 2024. Once the details for the press conference is confirmed we will provide that information to the media via a media advisory," said Cst. Matthew Dawson.
Alex Formenton, the fifth player facing charges in connection with the incident, surrendered to police over the weekend.
