If you live in the Town of LaSalle, your neighbourhood playground may soon get a makeover.
The Town's parks department has announced improvements for four playgrounds, with the work expected to begin the week of July 8.
At Lafferty Park, on Lafferty at Matchett Road, the playground equipment will be removed and replaced in the same spot. The area will be closed while the work is in progress.
Over at Natalie Park, on Westview Parkway near Stocks Street, a new structure will be built in a different section than the current equipment. Once the new playground opens, the old one will be removed.
New playground equipment is being installed in the park on Meo Boulevard at Laurier Drive. This area will remain closed during the installation.
At Rivervilla Park, at the foot of Rivervilla Court on the riverfront, the playground equipment will be replaced at its current spot. The area will be closed while the work progresses.
Preparation is already taking place at each location. All equipment will contain accessibility features.
