Tecumseh resident walks away with $123K lottery win

Life just got a little sweeter for a Tecumseh resident.

Baljot Deol picked up a second prize of $123,556.70 playing Lotto Max, in the August 16 draw.

She collected her prize cheque last week at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

"I was at home when I checked my numbers on the OLG app. When I scanned my ticket, I saw the ‘Big Winner’ message appear on the screen," said Deol. "It just felt too good to be true. I put my ticket aside, carried on with my day, and checked it again later. I was overwhelmed at first, but it feels good to win and I’m very grateful."

Deol works in healthcare and has played the lottery over the past few years.

She has not yet decided what to do with her winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Petro-Canada gas bar on Tecumseh Road East in Tecumseh.
