The first ship of its class, Arctic and Offshore Patrols of the Royal Canadian Navy, is coming to Windsor.
The HMCS Harry Dewolf will dock at Dieppe Gardens at 4 p.m. on Monday for a week-long stay.
It's in the city for the 2024 Marine Careers Expo at HMCS Hunter this Friday and Saturday.
On Tuesday, there is a welcoming ceremony at Dieppe Gardens for HMCS Harry Dewolf from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A citizenship ceremony is planned onboard the ship from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday.
The public can tour the ship on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the Marine Careers Expo and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The public can attend the expo, an opportunity to connect with Royal Canadian Navy members and employers from the Canadian marine industry.
The next day, on Sunday, November 3, the ship sets sail for Leamington.
