Help CMHA-WECB and MOST stuff a bus

It's not too late to help the Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch and the Essex-Windsor EMS stuff a bus.

They're looking for donations of personal hygiene products, including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and toothpaste. Organizers also need underwear, socks, gloves, hats and non-perishable food items.

Drop-off locations are at Windsor City Hall, the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce, LaSalle's Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex, and Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre in Leamington. Each EMS station also has a donation box.

Those items will help stock Comfort Closet's shelves, a program operated by the CMHA-WECB's client assistance fund. Front-line staff use the fund to assist clients in need.

The donation drive also helps the Mobile Outreach and Support Teams, which offers services in downtown and West Windsor. The initiative also responds to 311 calls from homelessness encampments.

The campaign wraps up on November 8.
