Registration is up for Windsor's holiday break camps

The winter holiday break from local schools is officially underway, and the City of Windsor has brought back a tradition.

To keep kids busy while school is off, the City will offer holiday break day camps at the following locations.

  • Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex, 2555 Pulford Street

  • Forest Glade Community Centre, 3215 Forest Glade Drive

  • Gino and Liz Marcus Community Complex, 1168 Drouillard Road

  • Optimist Community Centre, 1075 Ypres Avenue

The theme of the first week will be "Walking in a Winter Wonderland", featuring outdoor play and warm holiday refreshments as part of the program. Sessions will be on December 23, 24, and 27.

The second week's theme will be "Fireworks and Festivities", with a New Year's focus. Sessions will begin on Monday, December 30, and run every day except Wednesday, January 1.

Attendees are asked to bring a nut-free lunch, a refillable water bottle, warm winter clothing, including hats and gloves; indoor running shoes, and winter boots.

Participants are also asked not to bring electronics or money. The City is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

To register and obtain more information, visit the Active Windsor website, or call the City's registration team at (519) 255-1161.
