Petition launched to protect Tunnel Bus service

A petition to make the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Bus an essential route of Transit Windsor has started online.

Over 2,500 people have signed the change.org petition so far.

While cutting the service has not been officially recommended, Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens hinted it could be one service on the chopping block during this year's budget deliberations.

The petition's author states they rely on the service to connect them to their support system in Detroit.

"This bus route is not merely a transportation service but a vital bridge connecting the lives of those living and working across the border," stated the petition's author.

Many others who signed the petition called the service "necessary" and "vital" to them and the community.
