Another 'magic mushroom' raid results in seizure of over $23K

For the second time in a week, Windsor police have executed a raid at a downtown dispensary allegedly selling "magic mushroom" products.

Members of the Drugs and Guns (DIGS) Unit searched the storefront on Ouellette Avenue on Friday morning, seizing $23,190 worth of psilocybin products.

A 35-year-old employee on scene at the time was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

Among the products confiscated on Friday were 1789 grams of dried psilocybin, 1640 caps of psilocybin, six psilocybin vape pens, and $150 in cash.

This was the sixth time since July 2023 that a search warrant was executed at this location. A total of $163,000 worth of "magic mushroom" products have been seized.

Officers seized products at the location on Monday, January 6, and confiscated over $20,000 in products.
