Two US travelers fined after booze, weapon seizure

Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) officers recently collected a large haul of weapons, alcohol, and cannabis products at the Ambassador Bridge.

In a tweet posted on Monday, the CBSA reported that agents in Windsor sent two American travellers for secondary inspection.

Officers uncovered 47 undeclared containers of alcoholic beverages, plus four weapons, four magazines, and a variety of cannabis-based products.

The goods were confiscated, and the travellers were slapped with a $5,000 fine. Both were sent back to the U.S.

The CBSA is using this incident to remind commuters of the importance of declaring any goods brought into Canada.

Complete information can be found on the CBSA's official website.
