More measles exposure points as cases rise in the region

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has identified nine more exposure points for measles as the region's case count rises to 51.

So far this month, the health unit has confirmed eight cases after confirming 42 in March.

The health unit asks those who attended the following locations who are not vaccinated to go to the Measles Assessment Clinic at Erie Shores Healthcare for a vaccination. The clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. outside the hospital in a mobile unit.

Those exposure points are:

TMC Urgent Care Clinic at 273 Main Street East in Kingsville on Wednesday, April 2, between 9 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., on Friday, April 4, from 10:05 a.m. to 1:20 p.m., Saturday, April 5, from 11:25 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Sunday, April 6, from 1:05 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. The exposures were in the waiting rooms and patient assessment rooms.

Leamington District Secondary School on Tuesday, April 1 from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Thursday, April 3, from 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Princess Centre Leamington at 33 Princess Street on Thursday, April 3, from 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Friday, April 4 from 7:45 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Christ Church at 190 Bagot Street in Colchester on Saturday, April 5, from 1:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Freshco at 430 Main Street in Kingsville on Sunday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Sunshine Drugs IDA at 274 Main Street East in Kingsville on Wednesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

Subway at the Maplewood Centre at 341 Talbot Street North in Essex on Thursday, April 3, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Erie Shores Healthcare Emergency Department at 194 Talbot Street West on Monday, April 7, from 8:40 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.

TMC Urgent Care Clinic at 273 Main Street East in Kingsville on Monday, April 7, from 12:10 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. and from 2:05 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.
