A Windsor family has appealed to the community for help as a boy is being treated for injuries suffered in a playground incident.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for Kairos, a Windsor boy who suffered a brain bleed following a scary fall.
"Kairos was playing at school [Wednesday] when he fell back and hit his head very hard on the cement," said Sydney Smith, a family friend and the creator of the GoFundMe page. "Kairos was brought to the hospital where he went for a CT scan and bloodwork, and the scan came back that he has a brain bleed."
The diagnosis has required Kairos to be transported to a London hospital for further tests and treatment.
The page has set a $2,000 goal to help cover travel and accommodations as the family moves between Windsor and London.
"Kai has a very loving family and group of friends. His little sister is his best friend," said Smith. "Any donations to help with the cost of travelling back and forth from both Windsor to London, food, stay, and any time taken off of work, is greatly appreciated in so many ways."
As of Friday evening, the page had received over $1,100 in donations.
