Windsor police say two people have been identified in connection with a property damage call this past weekend.
Officers were called to Pillette Road near Alice Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, where they discovered a white 2026 BMW, which had struck two parked vehicles and was left unattended. The collision resulted in about $25,000 in damage.
After speaking with witnesses and looking at video footage from the area, it was determined that the driver and passenger of the vehicle had run off after the crash.
The vehicle was a rental, and the woman who had rented it reported it as stolen on Monday morning. Following further investigation, a 25-year-old woman was charged with making false statements to police.
The two males in the vehicle have been identified, police reported on Thursday night.
